This dishwasher is rated #1 and it lives up to it's rating! The only fault is in the paperwork - the operating manual is online, no printed copy in the package. Not to fear, the scant paperwork was enough to get it up and running.

Once installed it worked right away, no issues. Controls easy to understand; some wetness left on tops of inverted glasses after cycle, but "Sanitize" beats those. Does in fact leave unrinsed dished clean at the end. Very quiet, not always sure it is working. Cycles seems long (nothing under 2 hours), but not a problem. Lets me know when I need to add Finish liquid. Still figuring out my new configuration for placing dishes, plates, bowls, cups, glasses . . .

I bought a black one for my last house and the stainless steel for my new house. The black exterior is much easier to keep clean. The stainless is a bit picky and if you don't wipe with the grain, it streaks. It also shows water stains more easily. They both clean dishes extremely well. They dry well, if you follow a couple of tips. Top shelf: things need to be at an angle to shed water. Once the dry cycle is over, open the dishwasher for the hot water to evaporate and there are less water stains and the dishes dry better. Once cooled down, empty the bottom shelf first. Then tip anything on the top shelf that has water in it to drip while you put away other things. Use the table ware separaters for cleaner table ware. And enjoy.
Also watch the installer. Don't let them install a direct line that blocks an existing outlet. Be sure they remove all manufacturer plastic and tape.

We purchased the Ascenta to replace our previous Bosch when it stopped working after 14 years. Our number one priority was quiet operation. At 50 dB, this model is quiet. I didn't even consider other brands as my research placed Bosch as the quietest and we were looking to spend less than $1000. I am still getting used to the racks. There are dividers for silverware and holders for stemware. Nice features if you need them and they can be removed if you don't like them. I have heavy stoneware and so far we have had no problems loading it. I don't think we have especially heavy loads or dirty dishes. The dishes come out clean. The stainless model is as pictured with a stainless display panel and black lettering. We have been happy with everything to date.

Overall a good dishwasher, does a great job cleaning. The only drawback is the silverware holders, which when snapped onto the lower rack at the open area where they belong, rub against the seal each time the lower rack is pulled out or pushed in.

After 20+ years, we had to replace our Kenmore dishwasher. My husband read in Consumer Reports an article comparing a dishwasher which cost $2000 to the Bosch Ascenta. After reading reviews and doing some research, I placed the order. I've had it for 2 months now and am very pleased. It is extremely quiet which is much appreciated in our open living area. I have used all the cycles and am very happy with the Express cycle, it only takes 30 minutes, saving a lot of energy and the load comes out very clean. The brushed stainless steel exterior shows very few fingerprints and the stainless steel interior door wipes clean quickly.
I highly recommend this product, Consumer Reports did not steer us wrong!

I researched for a couple weeks on buying a new dishwasher. I wanted to make sure this time the noise was quieter than I had before and I am very pleased so far with my Bosch dishwasher. I am still learning the many features, but so far my dishwasher works great and is very quiet throughout the cycles. I like that it has a digital display as well and you can choose many different ways to wash dishware as well as move thr racks for bigger pots,etc. The only thing I'm not sure about is the dispenser for spot rinse. I have no idea how full it really is, but I can tell when it's empty or low as a red light shows on the display. I like the print free design as mine is brushed chrome design.

Have had the Dishwasher for about 1 month. It is awesome! It cleans well and is quiet. My only complaint is that I wish it had the top drawer for silverware, the baskets are cumbersome but there are 2, so that gives room. Some of the holes are too small for the width of the bottom of my siverware and they get hard to get in and out. Otherwise. love it!

I absolutely LOVE this machine. I have always had Maytag appliances. The dishwasher died last month. My local appliance dealer showed me this BOSCH. I did compare it to another Maytag, side by side. I liked the features of the Bosch better. I have been using it now for the past month and LOVE how it washes all my dishes! Clean, sanitizes and spotless!! On top of everything this machine is so quite, you think it is not running. But it is!! Love it, love it!!

I owned this exact model in a previous house after replacing a GE washer that didn't clean dishes. Loved how well it cleaned and how quiet it was. When I moved to new house, I replaced the exisiting dishwasher with this model as well. The dish layout works well and the upper tray wine glass holders are a great plus.

Our house was set up for a dishwasher but did not come with one. When we decided to install one, we did not want a pricey or fancy one since it would be our first dishwasher and we did not know if we would like one. Bosch provided a good balance of a reputable brand and price. We have loved the dishwasher so far, although the water inlet valve did go out after a year. We were able to buy the part and replace it ourselves. Other than that, we have been pleased. The lack of a heating element means we don't have to think about top rack safe items. Will definitely recommend Bosch to anyone looking for a dishwasher!

The front panel accommodates handi-cap people. Our former dishwasher had controls on top of the door and we needed the panel replaced several times due to dripping water from the countertop. The express wash cycle is the best energy efficient and economical feature. It does an excellent job of washing regardless of load size in 30 minutes. The racks are arranged very efficiently in order to accomodate large loads. Bosch is very quiet during the wash cycle. Very best dishwasher that I have purchased and recommend it for everyone. 5 Star rating!!

First the good: This dishwasher is incredibly quiet and iIt cleans very well -- 2 of the most important features we were looking for.
The So-so: The trays are designed to hold a wide variety of shapes and sizes, but not very many of each. So for us, wanting to mainly load a bunch of plates, small bowls, and water glasses, we're finding that the sections of the trays that fit well only allow for 4-5 items, or that if used for plates, that blocks the perpendicular sections we might otherwise use for bowls. Our old dishwasher kept things simple, and we could easily load 12 large plates, 12 cereal bowls, and 6 small plates without any problem.

I have had historically very bad luck with dishwashers. I've replaced the dishwasher in my house 3 times in the last 10 years! I think I've found the winner, though. Consumer Reports rated this model or its equivalent as a best value, and I totally agree. I've never had a dishwasher get my dishes so consistently clean. It's a very basic model with no real bells and whistles, but it does the job. Only negative is it is a little loud when it first starts up, but settles down to a nice low hum rest of the wash cycle.

This is the forst time we have purchased an appliance sight unseen. There were no models in the store to see, but two relatives have the same dishwasher. Fortunatley, it only took a month to get the appliance and installation. We have a great room and the washer is very quiet, which was one of our biggest issue, besides doing a great cleaning job. The only issue we have is the silver basket keeps hitting the frame when we pull out the lower shelf. Well worth the money.

This is my 2nd Bosch Ascenta, loved the first one so much I bought it again for our new house. THIS one has stopped working 4 months after install. Ran a sanitiser mode empty and now when I turn it back on it won't exit Sanitize and won't start. Waiting for a (fingers crossed) service call sometime tomorrow. Can't call customer service, there is none, everything has to be done online.

We did a fair amount of research prior to purchasing this Bosch (which replaces a different brand that did not last 8 years) and it had received a high rating from both Consumer Reports and from other users. It was, inded, one of the more reasonably priced dishwashers and has, so far, lived up to the ratings. We are very pleased with how it cleans and dries, and it is probably the quietest dishwasher that we've ever owned. It is well-designed and seems to be well built and solid. Very pleased to date.

I still check to see if I have turned my Bosch dishwasher on. The end result is always the same: clean dishes and sparkling glassware. I am still testing the various options, but I generally just push start. The Bosch is a great improvement over previous dishwashers. There is more room and the clever design of the racks allow for all sorts of loading options. On top of all that, it looks great in our kitchen and was a cinch to install.

Two of the best things I like about my new Bosch is that it's quiet and sturdy. Not much of a fan about the plastic utensil holder. It does not allow you to put the spoons and forks eating side down. One of the other things I don't like about the bosch is that it does not accommodate large plates well.

I've only been using it for about 6 weeks, and I do like it. The only issue I have is that there is no cycle in between 2 hours and the Express cycle (30 min.). I would love to go with one hour but the Express does a very good job anyway.

Had I known that this dishwasher doesn't thoroughly dry I would never have purchased it. They expect you to dry your dishes with minimal heat and with more chemical dry rinse. No matter if I increase the dry rinse setting or increase, the very minimal, setting options for dry time, it's still leaves my dishes exposed sitting in dampness. No one wants to have to take a hand towel to dry every dish off. I should have Bosch compensate me for my new silverware set rusting as well as my stainless steel measuring cups and prep dishes. I'm certain they'd be first to say don't overstuff your dishwasher, well not once in the 6 months ownership, as a single person, has it been overfilled and yet things still do not dry thoroughly. On that point, the rack prongs leave very little options to even overfill it as they are all slanted (their thought on a better drying solution). Well, when you can't get mixing bowls or pots and pans to even fit easily on the racks, what's the point!? I've done more hand washing of dishes since owning this than I ever have before.

Very quiet and cleans very well. The tines on lower rack too close together. Claims 14 place setting capacity but that does not allow for deep pasta dishes. Wasted space. I wish I had looked at it in person before ordering.

We love the versatility of our new Bosch dishwasher. The adjustable top rack makes it easy to accommodate everything from large pans to wine glasses. Our old dishwasher, a Bosch Ascenta, just decided it was time to retire after 15 years of trouble free work. Our new Ascenta has for the short time we have had it (3 months) worked perfectly.
